Food Over Fire

This project focused on documenting the Food Over Fire event, capturing the unique cooking techniques used by indigenous tribes of Sarawak. The images were taken for future event promotions, highlighting the process of cooking over open flames in a traditional and cultural setting.

The event was held at MBKS Garden in Kuching, blending theatrical performances with an immersive dining experience. The combination of storytelling and fire-based cooking showcased the deep cultural connections between food, tradition, and performance.

A key highlight was observing the diverse ways fire plays a central role in food preparation across different cultures, offering a deeper appreciation for indigenous cooking methods.
