This project involved documenting the Kuching Heritage Race 2026, an annual heritage-themed treasure hunt organised by the Kuching Heritage Awareness Society. Using event photography, the focus was on capturing participants as they worked together to solve challenges, discover historical landmarks, and immerse themselves in this year’s Culinary Quest theme.

Held in 2026, the event began at the MBKS Grounds and took participants through the Ang Cheng Ho and Petanak areas of Kuching. This year’s Culinary Quest encouraged participants to explore the city’s rich food culture while learning about the history and stories behind some of its most iconic neighbourhoods.

The Culinary Quest theme gave the race a fresh perspective, allowing participants to experience Kuching’s heritage through its food, local businesses, and historic streets, making for a lively and engaging community event.
